Eva Rivera earned her Ph.D. in International Law from Charles University as well as a Law degree from Friedrich Alexander University, Erlangen-Nurnberg. A lawyer, mediator and linguist she has spent 11 years in Puerto Rico/U.S. as faculty in International Studies Program, teaching subjects such as; International Law, Diplomacy, International Organizations, International Conflict Resolution, Human Rights in International Politics as well as Regional Studies including Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean, German as a foreign language. Subsequently, she took on the role of Executive Director of the Center for Global Education and Professional Development at the same private 4-year, U.S. accredited university in Puerto Rico. Further experience in the field of education includes Model UN faculty advisor, AIESEC board member, and Goethe Institute Program Administrator. She has also spoken at a number of international conferences and amassed work experience in areas such as the legal field, governmental institutions, and academia in Germany, Czech Republic, U.K., Belgium, South Africa, Australia, and the United States. Czech born but a German and American citizen she also speaks German, Czech, English, Spanish, Italian, and French fluently.

Eva is currently working as AAU’s Vice-President for Development and Communications as well as teaching courses for the Anglo-American University John H. Carey II School of Law.
