Evan Rail has worked as a food and travel writer for over two decades, contributing over 100 articles to the travel section of The New York Times, among other publications. His work has been featured in several anthologies, including “Travelers’ Tales: Prague and the Czech Republic,” “Best Food Writing,” and “The New York Times Book of Wine.” Evan introduced Anthony Bourdain to the glories of Czech beer on his show “No Reservations” and is the author of the Kindle Single “Why We Fly: The Meaning of Travel in a Hyperconnected Age,” among other titles. He holds a double BA degree in French and German from the University of California, Davis, and an MA in French literature from NYU.
