Are you having trouble with your academic writing? Are you unsure about what your lecturer is asking from you? Whether you are studying journalism, international relations, humanities, law or business, the ATC is here to help.

We specialize in improving your academic writing ability as well as helping you get more from your academic assignments. From basics like sentence and paragraph structure, all the way up to helping you do research for your essays, the ATC is an excellent resource for you to take advantage of.

Sessions are typically 30 minutes long, although you may book for longer, and are held in room 3.09 in the library building.

Sessions with our tutors are provided by AAU and are therefore free to all students. The ATC is part of the Department of English and Academic Writing and is chaired by Karen Grunow, PhD.

Services provided:

  • Sentence, paragraph, and essay structure
  • Content and vocabulary development
  • Citations and plagiarism (easybib.com) (APA, MLA, Harvard)
  • CV writing & personal statements

To book a session with a tutor, visit atc.simplybook.me or visit our Facebook page and “Book Now”. Or you can just contact us at atc@aauni.edu.

If you would like assistance with doing research, the AAU library offers individualized training sessions and an online research guide to help you.
